FUNDAMENTALS OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Also known as FUN GIS - because, well, GIS is fun! This is the second class I had the opportunity to take with Dr. Ashley York. With her guidance we learned how to successfully navigate a plethora of tools in ERSI's ArcGIS Pro software. The majority of the semester was spent analyzing and mapping a variety of social and environmental demographics of Philadelphia. FUN GIS concluded with a final project poster of a map concept of our choosing.

REMOTE SENSING OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Taught by Dr. Zachary Christman, Remote Sensing of the Environment was equally challenging as it was rewarding. Using Terrset 2020 software we explored remotely sensed satellite imagery learning a variety of techniques and data processing skills. The course ended with a final remote sensing project using a location of our choosing.

INTRO TO MAPPING & GIS
This is the first course I took after transferring to Rowan University. In this class we used ESRI's ArcMap software as an introduction to mapping and GIS. The course ended with a "mini-poster" final project where we had to conceive an idea that was "mappable" to communicate a message to an intended audience. The samples below demonstrate my knowledge acquired throughout the course regarding methods of preparing, organizing, displaying, and interpreting spatial data.
